This home was completed at the end of the 2010 summer season. It was meticulously and expertly designed by the architectural firm of Lomer and Meggitt #8 S Long Beach Blvd. Surf City, NJ 08008. Mike Meggitt and Lara Lomer can be reached at (609) 494-9095 or e-mail them at llmm@comcast.net. You can view many of their exquisite home designs on their web site at lomerandmeggitt.com. This home is a custom design and takes every advantage of its location. It affords panoramic unobstructed bay views without the bayfront up keep. There are numerous windows throughout that capture large amounts of light during various parts of the day. There are many decks at the front and rear of the home for entertaining or just enjoying the views and some outdoor quiet time to just reflect. This is truly seashore living at its finest. There is so much detail and custom features incorporated within this home that pictures do not do it justice. So much thought and planning went into every aspect of this home build that nothing was left to chance or was overlooked.

The exterior is cedar shake siding which gives the home timeless styling. The ground floor consists of a two car garage at the front of the home and additional ground floor rooms at the rear which can be used for storage or an over flow of guests if so desired. There is a room that can be used as a changing room as this gives direct access to the rear yard and the inground pool and spa area. When entering the front door to the interior of the home you are greeted by an expansive entry foyer and a dramatic staircase to the first floor. There is also an additional or second staircase incorporated in to the home which leads from the first floor to the garage area and the bonus rooms. The home is reverse living in design as the tremendous views demanded this type of floor plan.

The first floor consists of four bedrooms, two full baths, a laundry room and a screened in outdoor porch area. There is a family room also on this level which is very unique in design. In addition to a full built in wet bar for entertaining there are dark wood beams with a slight bend or curvature to them that traverse the ceiling area in this room. As in the accompanying photos you can see how they mimic the structure of the bottom of a boat.

The second floor features the gourmet kitchen with high end appliances, a dining room, half bath, living room and study area which could be also used as a sunroom. The living room has a built in fireplace with a custom mantle, built in shelving and cabinets for audio components. The study area has a beautiful vaulted cedar ceiling to give the room plenty of warmth. The stairway comes up between this study and the living room area but a half wall was left in the study to afford views out towards the living room area and beyond. By not closing this in it allowed more light into the study and views out to the bay area. It was thought that eventually plantation shutters could be mounted to close the study off for privacy or they could be left open for the openness and views. There are extensive outdoor decks off of the study and at the front of the home off of the living room and dining room areas. There is beautiful tiling throughout the home and hardwood flooring.

An elevator gives full access to all levels of the home. The home is state of the art concerning TV, stereo, internet, alarm, central vac and lighting functions. The home has high efficiency two zone heating and cooling systems. The backyard is designed for summer entertaining. There is an inground salt water heated pool with a spill over to the pool as well as a hot tub and a built in barbeque area. The outdoor plantings are watered by a timed irrigation system.
